It\u2019s been widely shared on social media as ‘The most British thing ever’ \u2013 which was the moment a biker, a bus driver and a pedestrian show us the true value of the British spirit.<\/p>\n

As a motorbike rider legally weaves between traffic in London, a bus driver waves at him to stop for a pedestrian crossing between vehicles in traffic ahead. What follows next is a hilarious moment that captures the very essence of British politeness and should serve as a reminder to us all that, as road users, we should all be looking out for one another in a civil and friendly manner.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not every day that we get to witness some kindness and respect for one another on the roads. More often than not, the kinds of videos that end up online from bikers are near-miss incidents and road-rage incidents where drivers have been responsible for not paying enough due care and attention on the roads.<\/p>\n

But this week we witnessed what social media has proclaimed to be ‘The most British thing ever’ when a biker is warned by a bus driver to stop for a pedestrian crossing between traffic ahead. With the biker safely stopped, the pedestrian kindly offers the biker to go ahead, which the biker replies in kind for the pedestrian to continue crossing the road. The pedestrian crosses and thanks the biker, and the biker turns to the bus driver and offers a quick thumbs-up and a fist-bump for his assistance.<\/p>\n

Brilliant! Much better than shrieking and shouting that\u2019s often associated with viral videos involving bikers and other road users!<\/p>\n

Although the footage indicates that the biker would have been able to stop in any event, it\u2019s great that the bus driver took the time to warn the biker of the pedestrian anyway. The friendly exchanges thereafter demonstrate the kind of attitudes we should hope for on our roads all the time!<\/p>\n
