This covers just the injury alone:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Simple fractures and soft tissue injury claims: up to around \u00a310,000.00;<\/li>\n<li>More serious fractures or soft tissue damage that may leave some permanent problems: up to around \u00a324,000.00;<\/li>\n<li>Moderate leg injuries which may include multiple fractures or crush injuries, where some permanent issues remain: up to around \u00a334,000.00;<\/li>\n<li>Serious injuries like compound or comminuted fractures, or soft tissue injuries to or ligaments and \/ or joints, leading to permanent problems: up to around \u00a348,000.00;<\/li>\n<li>Very serious leg injuries, that may include permanent mobility problems and the need for aids and crutches for the rest of the victim\u2019s life. Extensive treatment will have taken place and future problems like arthritis is expected: up to around \u00a374,000.00.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Even more serious injuries that are short of amputation, or involve singular amputations, can lead to damages for injuries in the \u00a3120,000.00 region. The loss of both legs can result in damages claims for the injury alone in the region of \u00a3250,000.00.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Special Damages: losses and expenses<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In addition to the injury side of motorbike leg injury claims, we also look at losses and expenses. In serious injury cases, this part of the claim can make up the majority of the final pay-out.<\/p>\n<p>Lost earnings in a serious motorcycle injury claim could mean recovering damages to cover a lost career for the rest of the victim\u2019s life. It may mean private treatment, extensive care and assistance, and permanent limitations. If an injured rider is 30 years old and earns \u00a330,000.00 a year, but cannot work for the rest of their life, that\u2019s a potential loss of over one million pounds until retirement; and then there\u2019s the pension.<\/p>\n<p>This is always important to consider when looking at claim value estimations. The official guidelines referenced above are just for the injury alone, and it can be that the bulk of a case is made up of the Special Damages on top of the General Damages.
